Just like Joseph: "until the time... came: the word of the Lord tried him" (Psalms 105:19)
Although we may go through times of trials, God will lift us up in his timing. "Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time." (1 Peter 5:6)
As Christians, we believe that God has a plan for all of us. After prayer and devotion we often start to see glimpses of what that plan for our individual lives are. These plans that God has are never anything short of phenomenal. God places awesome callings on our lives according to the way He made us. Therefore, these callings are often the fulfillment of our own big dreams.
We see that God has given us the power and ability to attain our highest dreams.
The truth is, sometimes we get ahead of God's timing. We think: "I can do this!" and we begin to plan out in our minds how we believe everything will work out. But the thing is, God doesn't work in our timing. He often puts us in a time of trial to see how long we will hold on to attain these dreams.
Often times we will go through a "death stage". It's a stage in our lives where our dreams seem to be ripped out from under us. Everything we had... GONE!
We think: "God this is your plan! why isn't it working?!" or "Maybe that wasn't truly what God wanted me to do because it's not working out." But the thing is, When we have no funds, no friends, and no fight left in us (the death stage), we must remember the words of Jesus: "unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies [to self], it produces much grain" (John 12:24.)
When a vision dies and God resurrects it, we begin to talk and act differently, but this time it's WITH EGO SUBTRACTED AND GRACE ADDED.
We often get ahead of God and start to doubt him.
The thing is, often times we have to let go. When times get rough, we need to set them down before God and give them to Him. When we step out of the picture and place our dreams in front of God, that is when things start to make sense. It says, "God, I know you called me to do this and its not working. I can't do it." Once we realize that we can't attain our God given dreams ourselves, and believe that God can do all things... that's when the magic happens. That's when God steps in and adds His supernatural.
We have to let it die, and if it really is a calling from God, He will resurrect it.
God won't ever let you down. He's never let anyone done ever before.
"Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him." Psalms 34:8

You have an interesting outlook on life. I find that many of your posts relate to my own life.
ReplyDeleteI love that your doing this. I'm doing much the same thing on my blog, although it is quite new and there isn't much there. I think that it is a good thing that you are posting bible verses and everything. Your trust in God is very strong. Never let that bond lessen. It is a good thing to have.
